MESA FUND Daddy Duke Update: 7/10/08 Daddy Duke is an approximately 3-year-old, untattooed black and white male greyhound turned into the Ft. Worth Animal Control as an owner release. Ironically, it is the same owner who turned in Topaz and Diamond Jack, and along with Daddy Duke, Diamond Jim was turned in also. Unfortunately, Daddy Duke is heartworm positive, and it is very likely that he also has a tick-borne disease. He is under the care of Dr. Jeff Ellis and Dr. Christy Soileau of VCA Preston Park Animal Hospital. He presently is suffering from kennel cough, and is receiving daily medication. Once the kennel cough is under control, treatment for his heartworms will begin. It is not known at this time if Daddy Duke is cat or small animal tolerant. The Story of Daddy Duke, Diamond Jack, Diamond Jim & Topaz The special medical treatment cost needed by Daddy Duke is why the Miss Mesa Fund was established. If you would like to help with Daddy Duke's care, please take a moment to make a donation to the fund. You can use a credit card, check or PayPal by making the donation through the GALT GreytStore. You can also write a check (Greyhound Adoption League of Texas, P.O. Box 680, Addison, TX 75001) and note Miss Mesa Fund/Daddy Duke on your check. Alternately,
you can make a donation using PayPal by clicking on the You WILL and CAN make a difference in Daddy Duke's life and the lives of other greyhounds in need of special medical care. Your help and support will make a difference...one greyhound at a time.
