Understanding Greyhound Behaviors

March 1, 2009
Houn House
Carrollton, TX

On Sunday, March 1, 2009, the Houn House Training Building was almost full with nearly 100 people and more than 40 Greyhounds listening to Mary Waugh Swindell talk about calming signals and stress signals.

It was fun to spend the afternoon with other Greyhound lovers and learn more about Greyhound body language, how to interpret stress signals, and how to use this information in your daily life! It was a casual afternoon with refreshments and merchandise from GALT's GreytStore for sale and three dog bed raffle items.

Jennifer Henager talked briefly about fostering, Susie McQuade discussed medical issues, and Suzanne Griggs spoke about adoptions and meet and greets. Kristin Fields talked about volunteering, and she and Clair Pulfer were there to answer additional questions about volunteer opportunities and special events. A special thanks goes to Barb Bray for putting the event together and to all the other volunteers for helping make this a successful event.
