GALT's 2008 Greyhound Planet Day was filled with sunny skies and lots of changes. The event was held for a full day on Saturday, September 20, and the location was at GALT's sponsor University Park Audi dealership. What fun we had among the fancy cars!! Also joining us were sponsors Sportsradio 1310 The Ticket and 93.3 The Bone. Greyt activities included shopping, acupressure demonstration, fajitas provided by Two Rows, interviews, greyhound information and the two available greys show which allowed the fosters to strut their stuff on the red carpet. The Memorial and Balloon Release was led by Rev. Melissa Bitting and Christine Ng - very moving and touching as we remembered those waiting at the bridge. Raffles went on throughout the day and cumulated with the Drive an Audi for 30 Days raffle sponsored by University Park Audi. The Greyhound Spa was a hit with nail trimming, microchipping, swimming pools (sorry kids, dogs only!) and first aids kits along with good information from VCA Preston Park Animal Hospital. We had lots of pictures submitted so if you weren't able to attend, see what fun we had. See you next year!
