John Rhadigan
Emmy Award winning sportscaster John Rhadigan joined FSN Southwest in April 2001. He anchors the nightly FSN LIVE pregame and postgame shows for the region’s professional sports teams, serves as host of FSN’s college football studio shows and co-hosts several of the network’s weekly magazine shows, including Rangers Insider, Mavericks Insider and Stars Insider. He also has been a sideline reporter on FSN’s Big 12 Conference national football telecasts.
Rhadigan has been recognized for his outstanding work by the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters, the Lone Star Chapter of the National Television Academy and the Dallas Press Club. He’s won numerous broadcast awards, including a local Emmy (Best Sports Anchor), a Lone Star Emmy (Best Sportscast), five Katie Awards (Best Sportscast twice, Best Sports Feature, Best Sports Program, Best Sports Story), two Associated Press Broadcasters awards (Best Sports Story, Best Sportscast), a United Press International award (Best Sports Story), and a National Headliners Award.
He came to FSN Southwest from Dallas NBC affiliate KXAS-TV where he was a sports reporter and weekend sports anchor since 1990 and also worked on the station’s Texas Rangers telecasts and hosted the “Rangers/Stars Report” weekly magazine show.
Before moving to Dallas, Rhadigan was a sports producer at Detroit CBS affiliate WJBK-TV, and a sports reporter/anchor at WJRT-TV in Flint, Mich. He also hosted local radio shows in Michigan.
A native of Brighton, Mich., Rhadigan earned a bachelor of arts degree in communications from Oakland (Michigan) University in 1983, where he was voted the school’s Outstanding Male. He resides in Mansfield, Texas with his wife, Kathy; daughter, McKenna; and son, Kal.
