Matching Funds Challenge Grant

As a result of the recent economic events, GALT, like so many other 501(c)3 organizations, has seen a 61% decline in donations. With so many human charities in need, it stands to reason that donations for animals are scarce. The greyhounds in need do not know there is an economic decline; many breeders are getting out of the business, which increases the number of greyhounds waiting to be accepted into an adoption group. |
In April 2009, GALT received an anonymous donation in the amount of $5000 with the stipulation that it could only be used to increase the Matching Funds Challenge Grant issued by the Robert Tucker Hayes Foundation from $10,000 to $15,000. GALT is extremely Greytful for this most generous and thoughtful donation.
