Midnite joined our family on March 11, 2007. He was the sweetest dog anyone in my family or cirlce of friends say they've ever known. This picture was taken just 10 days before his passing. He had just received an early Christmas present from his grandparents... a new bed, thicker than any he'd ever been on. As you can see, he was very happy with his gift. We loved Midnite so much and he gave us all so much love in return. He brought us so much joy with his sweet disposition and lovable cuddling and he will be deeply missed.

Midnite had begun limping slightly 2 weeks before Christmas. On Christmas Day, we noticed a lump on his right shoulder. I had a vet visit scheduled for Jan. 3. When I came home on Jan. 29th, he couldn't walk on his right front leg. He put his head in my lap and let out the biggest moan I ever heard a dog make. He cried all through the night until I finally had to get down on the floor with him to get him to lay down and sleep some. I took him to the vet first thing the next morning, and learned that he had advanced osteosarcoma in his right shoulder that had already spread throughout and into his lungs. He had suffered so much in the past 12 hours that I couldn't stand to let him hurt anymore.

We love you Midnite and will miss you forever... our sweet, sweet baby boy!
