GALTX

Iris is an approximately 4 year old black female mix. She was found as a stray. Iris is being treated for heartworm and is being kept calm in a foster home. According to her DNA results, Iris is a Gryhound / Russell Terrier Corss crossed with a Greyhound / American Staffs. Terrier Cross. Iris is not cat or small dog tolerant.

Iris is looking for the perfect human to call her own. She loves to get pets, snuggle and play. And…when I say play…I mean play! She loves chasing tennis balls and frisbees. Believe it or not, she’s even known to throw a frisbee by herself! This beautiful girl’s got skills!

Once Iris gets a chance to burn off some energy, she’s all snuggles from there. If you’re looking for a couch potato snuggle pup, Iris is your girl. She’s just hoping you’re up for a little active playtime first!

Iris is very loyal. She will guard and protect her humans. She does, however, have an alpha complex and will need to be an only dog with no other dogs or cats.

Iris is very intelligent and knows several basic commands. She is a fast learner and can easily learn new tricks or commands. In fact, she would thrive in a house with some structure and doggy rules.

If you’re looking for a magnificent best friend that will love, protect, play and snuggle, look no more! Iris is the perfect girl!
