Natalie

Update: 7/21/05

Natalie

Natalie is a stunning red-fawn female greyhound with a black mask and white chest blaze, thought to be about 2 years old. Natalie and Cindy were found as strays in south Fort Worth, scavenging in garbage cans at a residence. As with so many strays, Natalie is heartworm positive. Her treatment is scheduled to begin by April 1. It will be at least 75-90 days of treatment and convalesence for Natalie. It is not known at this time if Natalie is small animal or cat tolerant.

The special medical treatment cost needed by Natalie is why the Miss Mesa Fund was established. If you would like to help with Natalie's care, please take a moment to make a donation to the fund. You can use a credit card, check or PayPal by making the donation through the GALT GreytStore. You can also write a check (Greyhound Adoption League of Texas, P.O. Box 680, Addison, TX 75001) and note Miss Mesa Fund/Natalie on your check.

Update 7/21/05
Natalie is heartworm negative!!!! YAHOO! However, she is in heat, so her spay and further medical work will be delayed for a while longer.

5/20/05:
Natalie received her second round of treatment for heartworms on May 12. She has tolerated the treatment, but Dr. Ellis is closely monitoring her as she is coughing on occasion. She will be tested again for heartworms in 60 days.
