Shadow

Shadow escaped from her foster home on December 30, 2010. Despite our best efforts to find her, she was hit by a car and did not survive. Here is a reflection on the search for Shadow by a volunteer.

Shadow is a petite black greyhound seized by the Humane Society of North Texas in a cruelty case. She is approximately 3 years old, born in 2007, and is heartworm positive. Shadow is scared to death of her own shadow, so she is being handled with kid gloves so to speak. She is very, very thin, so once she gains some weight, her treatment for heartworms will begin. Further medical tests are pending at this time. The results will be posted when known. It is not known at this time if Shadow is small animal or cat tolerant.
