GALTX

Zibian is an 8 year old red fawn male born in 2010. He was part of the population from the blood bank facility located in Cherokee, TX that closed in November 2017. Zibian has been evaluated by GALT's veterinarians and has completed his medical procedures. Zibian has decided that he does like kitties and small dogs. It's time for this lovebug to get his own home!

Zibian is a cuddle bug, teddy bear of a hound. His thick coat is so lush and soft; it’s impossible not to reach out and stroke it. Zibi is tattooed though he was not registered and never raced. He came to us from the Cherokee blood bank where he was a universal blood donor.

Since he arrived, Zibian’s become an Olympic class sleeper. He's a very laid back boy who takes his nap time seriously. When he’s up and about, a favorite pastime is gathering up and surrounding himself with every toy from the basket. Zibi loves flinging the squeaky toys in the air and then chasing them. He even play bows for us to toss the ball for him outside. Pouncing on toys is a new ‘skill’ he’s honing. This funny lover boy recently discovered the pure joy of doing indoor zoomies on the rug. After all that exhausting fun, it’s time for another nap! Zibian adores his Slumberball and loves to sleep.

While he’s not a big fan of walks, he would do best with a backyard. While Zibi could be an only dog with someone who is home much of the time, he does likes to have a canine companion around and maybe even a kitty friend! He’s also delighted by respectful little kids and will follow them from room to room.

This sweet senior’s ideal forever home would be with an affectionate lower-energy family who will give him all the love and snuggles he craves and deserves.
