GREYT ADOPTION PHOTO GALLERY Begins
With R and Ends With X It is funny, 15 years ago when I moved to Chicago with my then boyfriend (a partner at Peat Marwick) I wanted a Rolex for my birthday. The big joke at the hotel where I worked as a sales manager was that I had better get something that began with R and ended with X. On my birthday my director of sales gave me a battery operated dog that she had named Rex, so I would not be disappointed. I did get the watch that night, but who'd think all these years later I would like another present that begins in R and ends in X, and a dog to boot. He is the sweetest thing ever. Poodle and I talked it over, and he said that if he had to have a big brother, Rex isn't so bad. :) He is so undemanding and fits in like he was waiting for us (maybe he was). He and BellaBoo make a striking couple as he is one of the lightest brindles that I've seen and she is the darkest dark brindle. I will
foster another one and not fail. Of the 40 or so that I had in Lubbock
I was only very tempted to keep one -- a smart as a whip girl named Abita
Onyx. Rex is very special somehow. |
